1. SIZE THE SPACE

Consider floor area and ceiling height. Are your valuables all together? See the table below. We have models for every room size, up to 5,000 sq ft. ...and this is just with one security fogger!

2. CHECK ROOM SHAPE

Security fog mushrooms at great speed. Long rooms, L shaped rooms or open spaces need consideration. ... We can recommend based on blueprints..

3. THINK LIKE A BANDIT

How would you break-in? How would you traverse the space? Go ahead, run and time it. This gives you your target fill time.

Ceiling Height Reminder

REMEMBER HEIGHT!

These calculations are for an empty room, with 8' ceiling (2.4 m). For every extra foot (30 cm.) in ceiling height, adjust as if 10% larger. If the room has open doors or mezzanine openings, add capacity proportionally.

FLEXIBLE PLACEMENT

When you aim to overwhelm a single room in a single activation, placement is more flexible. If time is truly critical it's better to use several smaller FlashFogs, each instantly denying a local spot. See our Photo Gallery.

YOU CAN TRUST OUR NUMBERS

At FlashFog we go for one foot visibility. Beware of 'arms length' or 'one yard' descriptions: That's thinner fog, a fraction of FlashFog output. When a Security Strobe is added, perceived density drops to about one inch. (~3 cm).

WE ARE HERE TO HELP

We routinely advice on complex installations and know every aspect of security fog. We anticipate issues and deliver best practices. Clients love our support and 26 years of experience.

Your variables:

THEIR BREACH TIME

Breach times vary by industry. If your bandits are crashing cars to get in, go for 30 seconds or less. If your security can withstand a couple of minutes, you can use a smaller security fogger.

YOUR TECH

You have more than fog in your arsenal. You can make the fog hell by adding a Lumy strobe light. You can also blast a SoundWall which uses pain as the motivator.

THEIR OBJECTIVE

If their 'prize' is in one spot, you can protect that spot with fog cycles, by adding a top-up timer. Otherwise, fog the whole room, which is just spectacular.

Now, lets consider strategic 'small' explosions:

Your job is to break the burglary sequence.

Fog system layout recommendation

The path to the motorcycles has been denied to the burglars. Look how placement and aiming disrupt the smash & grab sequence.

PROTECT THE GOOD STUFF

Deny the burglar's objective, and skip the harden-every-window approach. FlashFog humiliates one or ten burglars just the same. Common in large super-stores, department stores, malls with freestanding ATMs, etc.

BLOCK THE BANDIT

A great security fog concept is to protect a bandit's access to the merchandise. Here we go for the burglar's expected path. Protect hallways, vestibules, foyers, loading docks, etc.

COMBINE METHODS

In large areas you can do both; block access and defend key spots. These can be further upgraded with the violent glow of a Lumy strobe, or the sonic hell produced by a SoundWall.
